Freeks Farm, Burgess Hill

Rund Partnership is working with Sage Housing as Employer’s Agent to help deliver high-quality affordable homes at Freeks Farm – part of a multi-million-pound housing scheme backed by Homes England.

The scheme, known as Northern Arc, involves the delivery of 3,500 homes in Burgess Hill, West Sussex. As part of Phase 1A, Countryside Properties is building 460 new homes – 237 of which are for affordable housing. Sage Housing will manage the affordable proportion, which are split between affordable rent and shared ownership tenures. The units will range in size from one to four bedroom family homes, with a proportion reserved for those aged 55 and over.

Freeks Farm is another prime example of developers and housing providers going above and beyond planning consent conditions for affordable housing delivery. 138 of the 237 units were part of the original Section 106 agreement, with Sage Housing committing to an additional 99 affordable homes.

Rund Partnership is contributing its strong expertise and experience in affordable housing developments to help Sage Housing and Countryside Properties answer the ever-growing demand for high-quality, affordable homes.

Our expertise in delivering high standards of quality in construction will be paramount as all homes at Freeks Farm will be ‘tenure blind’ – meaning all affordable homes will be built to the same high standards as those destined for private sale.

Our role as Employer’s Agent will see us involved in detailed contract administration, including administering the Development Agreement between Sage Housing and Countryside Properties. We will also undertake cost consultancy to ensure all works are completed in line with the client’s strict specifications and budgets.
