Housing Association settle appoints Rund on two residential projects

Rund Partnership is working with settle as Employer’s Agent on two new housing developments in Bedfordshire.

As a housing association supporting more than 22,000 residents in over 9,500 homes across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, settle’s commitment is to invest in good quality, affordable new and existing homes and neighbourhoods.

The two new housing developments form part of settle’s target to build 1,500 new homes by 2024. One project, located just off the high street in Arlesey, involves the development of new homes for shared ownership. The second development, Shawmer Farm, is in Stotfold and involves the construction of homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.

Carina McBarnette, Senior Surveyor at Rund commented: “Our skilled team has extensive experience working on affordable housing developments, so we’re delighted to offer our expertise on these two projects. We recognise the importance of delivering high-quality standards throughout every project, so more people can have a safe, secure home for the long-term.”

Our scope of work involves high-quality contract administration and monitoring of costs, site quality and progress. This includes reviewing JCT contracts and Employer’s Requirements, ensuring all elements are in line with settle’s brief.

Ruth Edwards, Development Manager at settle added: “High Street Arlesey and Shawmer Farm form part of our ambition to deliver more high-quality affordable homes and invest in neighbourhoods to create areas where residents can thrive. We’re delighted to have Rund on board and look forward to working in partnership to deliver these much-needed new homes for affordable rent and shared ownership.”
