Gateway Housing Association purchases new housing site in Hackney

Gateway Housing Association has recently purchased a new site in Hackney to deliver much-needed social housing in East London. Rund Partnership is very proud to be working on this development as clerk of works to assist Gateway in delivering a scheme to the highest standards of quality in construction.

Gateway Housing is a community-based housing association operating in East London. The organisation owns 3,000 homes, mostly in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, but also in Hackney and Newham. The site will provide Gateway’s first new homes in Hackney for 30 years and signifies their intention to continue to provide housing in East London and will help them achieve their target to build 500 new homes by 2020.

Kate Dodsworth, Chief Executive at Gateway Housing Association said “This is the first time we’ve invested in new homes in Hackney in 30 years. It’s an exciting opportunity for us to demonstrate our commitment to providing quality and much needed social housing to communities in Hackney. This is building on our experience in similar communities in Tower Hamlets and Newham and consolidating our commitment to the heart of East London.”
