Through Richard’s personality and hands-on approach, Richard leads Rund Partnership as Managing Director in a highly engaging and proactive manner.
With over 20 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, Richard’s experience extends across the commercial and residential sectors as a building surveyor and employer’s agent.
Richard has previously spent part of his career as a Development Project Manager for a leading registered housing provider, meaning that he has first-hand experience in managing both refurbishment and new-build projects.
Paul manages our Southampton office, and is directly involved in running projects on behalf of a variety of clients across the South of England to provide his in-depth knowledge and experience to ensure a successful project.
As a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, Paul leads our cost consultancy services and works with clients, and other professionals, from initial feasibility through to project completion.
Paul has a wealth of knowledge with over 25 years’ experience in the property and construction industry, with particular expertise in commercial and residential developments.
Paul leads our London office creating the strategy and vision for its development and growth. Paul’s attention-to-detail benefits clients from his involvement in small residential schemes to multi-million pound initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, phasing and elements of developments. Paul believes in working as a team to utilise strengths and resources to overcome challenges, providing continuity of service and ultimately a successful project.
As a Chartered Building Surveyor, Paul has extensive experience in both new-build and refurbishment works, including acting as project manager, designer and contract administrator on projects within the commercial and education sectors. Paul is well-versed in planning, coordinating and managing construction projects from their inception through to completion.
As a highly experienced Human Resources Director, Nikki has multi-industry experience and extensive corporate Board experience, including as Group HR Director for Rexam, an FTSE 100 Company. With her many years of international experience in corporate change, operations and strategic growth Nikki brings to Rund Partnership a deep understanding of building truly winning organisations and companies committed to the development of their people.
As well as having worked as a Building Surveyor on a wide range of projects for both local authorities and housing associations, Martha has over 10 years’ social housing development experience. Martha is an experienced Project Manager and Employer’s Agent and coordinates the company’s quality assurance and compliance processes under the ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 18001 standards.
Philip is a Chartered Building Surveyor with wide-ranging experience across the residential, education and healthcare sectors.
In conjunction with colleagues, Philip provides Employer’s Agent and Project Management services for multi-million pound mixed-use residential schemes. Philip is experienced in managing complex development sites and overcoming the challenges of site abnormals, phased delivery and engagement with multiple stakeholders.
His background, as a Building Surveyor, ensures that Philip is well-versed in neighbourly matters and he is able to provide a keen focus on build quality.
David is a chartered surveyor experienced in delivering a range of complex new build and refurbishment schemes He has worked in the affordable and private housing sector for over 15 years, predominantly acting as client representative and employer’s agent, whilst also providing quantity surveying services.
With a wide-ranging portfolio, David has worked on small to larger developments, from single units to multiphase, mixed-use and mixed tenures schemes providing hundreds of units. David is highly experienced in managing S106-led and land/build package deals. David’s key personal attributes include his passion and enthusiasm for the housing sector to create a culture of openness and collaborative working, making himself available to his clients and his ability to manage a portfolio of projects.
Tim joined Rund Partnership in the spring of 2012 having worked previously for many years with a main contractor as a Project Surveyor. Tim has over 14 years’ experience in the construction industry as a Quantity Surveyor. His day to day role is employer’s agent on large residential schemes in the Southern region but is also involved with feasibility estimates, budget costings, cost plans and traditional quantity surveying and contract administration services for a range of different clients.
Tim oversees a team of employer’s agents and quantity surveyors from our Southampton office and has experience working on projects within residential, education, healthcare, industrial sectors and historic buildings, as well as smaller domestic schemes.
Lucy initially joined Rund in 2013, having worked for a main contractor for the previous seven years as a project quantity surveyor, and following a brief career gap Lucy returned to Rund in 2015. Lucy’s day to day role is focussed on acting as employer’s agent in the residential sector on developments for affordable housing, outright sale, mixed tenure and build to rent.
As a Managing Surveyor at our Southampton office, Lucy’s experience extends to contract administration and quantity surveying, including producing budget estimates and cost plans. Lucy also carries out the role of principal designer.
Principal Design Manager
Nima heads our team of Principal Designers, managing the design of buildings and with an industry-leading process, directs health and safety principles that underpin safe construction and use. Nima is experienced in procurement, design development, risk management and further provides executive-level legal advice to all our partners ensuring mitigation strategies are implemented.
Having achieved Membership of the Chartered Society of Designers and an active board member of design management committee – DIOHAS, Nima has extensive experience in Urban Design, Project Management and BIM. Together with his team, Nima leads to benefit our clients, on a commercial and legal standpoint, offering a truly innovative approach to secure duty holder liabilities ensuring the team collaborate in designing out risk.
Geoff manages our building surveying team across both our offices, overseeing a wide range of projects across all building surveying disciplines. With over 10 years’ experience in the construction industry, working as a surveyor, Geoff is ideally suited to undertake the building surveyor services. His attention to detail is key to achieve the desired results for a project. Geoff’s experience in a wide range of disciplines enables him to ensure the client receives the appropriate advice and recommendations to take a project forward and result in the desired outcome.
Managing Clerk of Works
Gurvinder manages our clerk of works team at our Southampton office, overseeing new build projects as quality control and assurance for our clients, checking compliance with specifications, snagging and handing over of completed properties.
Gurvinder has over 17 years in the construction industry as a carpenter and Clerk of Works. Gurvinder recently passed the Fire Stopping Inspection Diploma, a diploma accredited by The Institute of Fire Safety Managers and recognised by the Institute of Fire Engineers. Gurvinder has demonstrated his ability to carry out fire compartmentation and fire door surveys during the construction process and he is one of our team members that carries out snagging of all communal areas on all of our projects.
Managing Clerk of Works
Simon has many years of experience working as a clerk of works and as a site manager for contractors, giving him a unique insight into quality from both the client’s and builder’s perspective.
Simon has a comprehensive understanding of what it takes to coordinate construction activities to achieve zero defects. With over 17 years’ experience in the construction industry, clients benefit from Simon’s expertise in identifying potential shortcomings in quality in construction and defects, but importantly receive sound, practical and expert advice in their resolution. Simon works and supports clients and the whole project team to ensure the highest standards of quality in construction, conformity and compliance are achieved.
With over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry gained in both practical, academic and management disciplines, Andrew has specialised in historic building conservation and restoration. Andrew trained as a mason in Dorset and has worked as a master mason in Canada, Norway, Germany and London; including working on extensive repairs at Westminster Abbey.
Andrew now works throughout the South and London as a building surveyor, employer’s agent and CDM coordinator, and has previously been responsible for delivering numerous projects for the City of London, The Crown Estates (Royal Household), Historic Royal Palaces and privately-owned aristocratic estates.
